"The most encompassing struggle for me was after I had gone through the brain injury surgery and then my wife divorced me. To be honest, I strayed away from 'the path' prior to this time. After this 'ordeal' I began to cling to God and to the church and I began to learn how to build a more lasting relationship with God. In high school I thought I had given my life to Jesus but the last few years I have done it again. Stronger this time. Jesus has surrounded me with people who I know are examples of Him. They help keep me accountable. Overall, I have really let Him take the reigns on my humility and integrity. Everyday, I evolve into a more Godly man. Surrender, to me, is a different word for vulnerability. I've had to learn how to let go and be more vulnerable through surrender. My name is Doug and I surrender."
