JoJo, Ghana

“My older brother passed away when I finished high school. He drowned. He was on an internship in Germany. It was a really painful and sad period for us. We had a certain kind of strength, it’s just from God. One thing that was amazing was that we saw a rainbow, after we went to bury him. That was a reassurance to us that God is alive, that God is not dead, just like Noah’s time, Genesis 9:1-17. I grew up in a Christian home. All my life I have been a Christian. My Grandfather was actually a minister. When I went to High School, I started doing serious stuff for God. We fasted for 3 days without food, without anything. It made me realize that I really wanted to worship and get closer to God. Salvation is not just a one-time thing, it’s something that we keep getting. As humans, we error and fall aside sometimes. I know that I’m not perfect, it’s a process. I’m not Jesus. Psalm 23 tells me how much God loves me. My soul was in a wrong place, God brought it back to the right place. He is my Shepherd. One story that comes to my mind is about the woman with the issue of blood for twelve years, “For she said, ‘If only I may touch His clothes, I shall be made well.’ Immediately the fountain of her blood was dried up, and she felt in her body that she was healed of the affliction,” Mark 5:25-34. There are problems that we are ashamed of and feel that nobody should know about. No matter what problem you have, Jesus is the answer. My name is JoJo and I surrender.”
