“I felt like I was going crazy. I was losing all my friends. I remember it was the most depressing, numb feeling that I ever felt. I felt like there was no meaning to what was going on in my life. There was no purpose, and I felt like I was never going to get out of it. I felt hopeless. At that point, I decided that I would put the control and my faith in Jesus Christ. God is merciful and patient. Jesus said, “I will never leave you nor forsake you.” Hebrews 13:5 . He is teaching me. I was used to making things happen my way that I forgot to trust the process. The process is learning to surrender to God. When you turn away from God, you open yourself up to spiritual warfare. Jesus has restored my hope. I’m now overwhelmed with love, joy, and the other fruits of the spirit. “Go home to your friends, and tell them what great things the Lord has done for you, and how He has had compassion on you.” Mark 5:19-20 .
