Amy

I was 18 years old when I lost my mother. It was a week before finals during my first year of college. I felt like I was lost and did not know where I was going in life. My grandfather told me to go back and take my last two finals, college algebra and public speaking. I did not perform well on it. After that, I was not in the right state of mind. My past is my past, I let go of things I have done. I had my daughter when I was 21 years old. She was the best thing in my life besides her giving me attitude, you know how a normal teenager is. My life is going good right now. I pray a lot. I put many things in God’s hands. I made the commitment to honor my mom by going to church. Being in the church makes me feel closer to God. I talk to Him every day. God answers prayers. The way He answers mine is very different than I ever imagined in my life. I want to start getting involved in a women bible’s study group. My name is Amy and I surrender. (Amy, Manhattan, KS)
