"I grew up in a family of 9 and we were in poverty most of my childhood. Most of the time, I went without. Because of this, at Christmas I would be so grateful for any gift I would receive, even if it was only a box of macaroni and cheese. A beautiful blessing that came out of being raised in that reality is my ability to genuinely feel gratitude. Now that I am an adult, during the Christmas season, I am saturated with gratitude for the gift Christ has given us all. What a wonderful and profound thing He has done for us! He has reconciled us with our Heavenly Father through His blood and His sacrifice. This time of the year my gratitude runs so deep. Jesus is the reason for this season!
