Jean

“We didn’t know she was sick. I realized my mother was going to die in the Fall of 2020.  My mother and I were very close and she had been healthy most of her life so this came as a shock. We found out she had cancer in late September and she died on October 25th. There wasn’t a lot of time to really process anything. The Holy Spirit spoke to me. I remember when we had first found out that her lung had collapsed and she started going in for treatments and seeing doctors. I just remember this voice telling me she was going to die. He was preparing me. Having Jesus in my life has really sustained me these last three years. Without God, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit I would not have been able to let her go. As soon as I told my mom she could go on her journey she passed one hour later. I was baptized when I was 23. That was good timing because I was getting ready to enlist in the military and was starting a new life. I wanted to have Jesus in my life guiding me during this momentous time in my life. The older I have gotten the easier it is for me to surrender everything to God. I just need to not be so stressed out and worried all the time.  He supports me. It has been a journey. It didn’t happen all at once for me.  God, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit take care of me, they always do.    In the little things, in the big things. You should try to know Jesus. You should get into the Word. And you should pray. You will start to understand what it is all about. I press toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus,” Philippians 3:14.  My name is Jean and I surrender.”
