“Financial problems were making life tough for my family. I was born in Burma where I grew up in a Christian family. My parents were older and needed help. I went to Bible school and was doing ministry work and hardly making any money.
I told my brother his income does not need to support me but only our parents’ needs. I left to move to Thailand where I have lived most of my life. I walked to Thailand with only thirty dollars. It was over four days through mountains and I avoided land mines by the grace of God. There were land mines in the ground near the border. I tried to step only on stones. We were afraid to step on the ground.
I trusted God in the middle of that land mine area near the border. When I got to Thailand, a man sent me to the U.S. to go to Cincinnati Bible Seminary. I have been an evangelist for over thirty years.
We have started a network of evangelical churches with over thirty hill tribe churches. We will drive many hours to share the gospel in mountains for the people in Thailand. Almost every trip we take there are people accepting Jesus Christ. Everything that comes your way will be a blessing. Trust God and He will bless you in many ways. Following Jesus in Thailand is not popular but it is very rewarding. My name is Barnabas, I’m human, and I surrender.”
