“All those years, I was wrong. I did believe, but I don't think I believed more than the demons. That's not good. I had the Bible on the side of my bed and a cross hanging from my mirror. I would have said I was a Christian, but you are not a Christian until you're born again. Jesus answered and said to him, “Most assuredly, I say to you, unless one is born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.” Nicodemus said to Him, “How can a man be born when he is old? Can he enter a second time into his mother’s womb and be born?” Jesus answered, “Most assuredly, I say to you, unless one is born of water and the Spirit, he cannot enter the kingdom of God.” — John 3:3–5. You're not really born again until Jesus is your Lord and Savior.
I saw one of my cousins on social media. He looked like he was dying. I started praying over the phone. Like I said, I prayed all the time, but Jesus wasn't my Lord and Savior. All of a sudden, I heard that small, still voice say, “Oh, you really want to help your cousin? Show him Christ in you.” I was like, “Whoa!” My cousin got born again before he passed away. This was after a big fight with my ex-wife. I didn't believe in marriage. After I heard that voice, I turned to her and said, “I think I know how we can save our relationship. It's going to sound crazy because every time I try to serve God, I get attacked by unclean spirits.” She didn't understand. Nobody really understands that unless they live through it. I said, “I'm going to give my life to Jesus.” That was the day I got born again. It was October 2014. That was it. Everything changed. The Bible became clear.
The Bible says that when you give your life to Him, He fills us with His Holy Spirit, and that makes us ambassadors for Christ. “Now then, we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God were pleading through us: we implore you on Christ’s behalf, be reconciled to God.” — 2 Corinthians 5:20. I asked the Lord, “What is that?” I researched what it meant to be an ambassador for Christ. I realized that I represent the Kingdom of Heaven while I'm here on earth. I'm a representative of Christ Jesus. I'm a citizen of Heaven. He filled me with His Spirit. I'm fully equipped. I'm ordained by the Word of God to do His will and to live a life that's pleasing to Him. That really hit me! I said, “If I'm going to be an ambassador for Christ, then I'm going to truly be an ambassador for Christ.” God can use us. For 12 years, I’ve been on the streets with the homeless. I started seeing people receive deliverance. That moved me into deliverance ministry—something I never wanted, but it happened. If God wants you to do something, you better do it. Otherwise, you're fighting against God.
Get into the Word and learn it the best you can. You don't have to memorize the Word, but you have to have it in you. Let it produce what it produces. That's Christ through you. Have a one-on-one relationship with the Lord. Your life is no longer your own; it's His. Let Him live through you. “I have been crucified with Christ; it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself for me.” — Galatians 2:20. Get the Word in you and be aware of what the Bible says. There's only one Gospel. The devil is going to throw all kinds of things at you to lead you astray—to pull you into another gospel and another spirit—so be aware. Examine yourself. It's not your life. Let it go. Let God have His way with you. My name is Reginald, aka Reggie. I'm human, and I surrender.”
