"I’m a single mom with two young children. My worst fear is struggling with my kids. I have been growing my relationship with Christ, becoming more intimate with Him. On my journey I had started going through many trials and tribulations that started making me feel so alone. I felt like I had no one I could call on. That’s a trick of the enemy, to get into your mind, especially when you are going through a tough time. “No weapon formed against you shall prosper, And every tongue which rises against you in judgment You shall condemn," Isaiah 54:17. I prayed for Jesus to help increase my faith and for me to become more intimate with Him. I literally started talking to God like I would talk to a friend, just laying everything on the table. ‘Lord I’m confused about what’s going on because I haven't done anybody any harm. I know I'm not perfect and I do have a past, but that doesn't define me. God, please help me in all areas and guide me.’ When there is distress, I have learned to run to Him for rest. Let me tell you, be careful what you ask for. What I mean by that, is when you seek God and are consistent with Him, He is going to work with you, how He needs to, "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me." Philippians 4:13. Jesus has taught me that I have nothing to fear. Jesus has strengthened me, allowing me to face my worst fear head on. Jesus has brought people into my life to help along my journey.
