"I was in denial. I was diagnosed with stage 4 colon cancer. I was looking for healing in various places, but my healing came from above through Jesus Christ. The moment I realized I was in denial from my past hurts and hang-ups, I knew I had to change my perspective of looking at things in a negative way, even my diagnosis. When I confessed my sins to God, and after many prayers, something amazing happened. Healing in my body started to come over me, inside and out. I started to see the cancer in a positive way. It brought positive people in my life. I’ve built new relationships and friendships that have brought lots of encouragement and hope to my life. A scripture that spoke to me during my struggles is from the book of Romans. It says "all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose.” Romans 8:28. I believe that even in the things we see as bad, God can turn it for good. Today, I am close to being cancer free and I look forward to what more miracles God has in store for me.
