Marty

"In the last 10 years I have gone through some legal issues and some family issues that were all intertwined. There was an injustice being done and I relied on God to get me through that. I remember the court date. I got up early. There was a park across from where I lived. I walked in the park and I was praying to God. The court hearing was delayed because, quite frankly, the lawyers were in conference with the judge. They came out and they said, ‘we're going to dismiss the charges.’ Legally I was exonerated. I heard a sermon in the last month that said none of us really want justice because all of us have stained hands without Christ. We are all responsible. There's been a rift between my two brothers and I. I looked at that story of Joseph and his brothers, Genesis 37. He eventually forgave them for what they did or they did not do. I've forgiven them long ago. In fact, in my prayers, I asked God to touch their hearts and to touch their souls. ‘But if you do not forgive men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses.’ Mathew 6:15. When I was in the business world, I was living on six figures. Now, I am living on social security, which is a fraction of that. I say that because it's below the poverty level. I'm living better and like a King. God has taken care of all my needs. I am happy God has touched me and brought me this far. We should be smart and not put ourselves in the 'flesh zone'. We need to look at where we are as a people. There's no difference between black, white, fat, skinny, enriched, or poor. We're all going to be unified through Christ. Let Jesus be your boss. He is standing there with you and you have direct access to Him. He has hired you; you have a job to do. Sometimes we will show up late, sometimes we call in sick. Sometimes our work performance may not be what it should be. But if He is your boss and He will pay you the wages He promised you, why would you not want this job! If we are true believers we are required to speak boldly about our faith. Jesus said, ‘Go home to your own people and tell them how much the Lord has done for you, and how He has had mercy on you.’ Mark 5:19. My name is Marty and I surrender."
